<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder in a printing system for recording data being transmitted through a communication network in which an end of recording or occurrence of an abnormality in record processing can be informed readily by a desired recorder. <P>SOLUTION: After recording data received from a PC 2 through an LAN 10, a facsimile combined apparatus 1 informs a mail address registered previously in correspondence with that PC 2 of the end of recording through the LAN 10. Upon the occurrence of an abnormality in record processing, the facsimile combined apparatus 1 informs that mail address of the occurrence of an abnormality through the LAN 10. The registration processing of the mail address indicative of a destination can be performed not only from the facsimile combined apparatus 1 but also from the PC 2 through the LAN 10 using HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
