RESIN COMPOSITION AND ITS APPLICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition excellent in water resistance and viscosity stability of an aqueous solution and useful for heat-sensitive coloring layer and protective layer of a heat-sensitive recording medium, an ink receptive layer and a protective of a medium for ink jet recording, an adhesive, etc.

SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises (A) an acetoacetic acid ester group-containing polyvinyl alcohol and (B) a weakly acidic salt, particularly hydrogen carbonate of an amino group-containing compound.
