PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mobile radio terminal equipment in which a transmission power level of a radio signal to the mobile radio terminal equipment is speedily lowered to a proper transmission power level in the situation that the transmission power level may be lowered by improving a communication quality. SOLUTION: A first reference value generation circuit 81a generates a reference value R1 based upon the measured result of a second reception quality measuring circuit 70, and a second reference value generation circuit 82a generates a reference value R2 preset to a value lower than a maximum value of the reference value R1. When it is not necessary to implement soft hand-off, the reference value R1 is outputted and when it is necessary to implement soft hand-off, on the other hand, the reference value R2 is outputted. Based upon the reference value outputted from a selector circuit 83, a comparator circuit 100 judges the distribution of the measured result of a first reception quality measuring circuit 90a and in accordance with the judged result, transmission power control information is produced.
