PURPOSE: A sustained release formulation prepared by improving an absorption rate, maintaining drug release at specified speeds and mixing sustained release inducing materials in suitable mixing ratios by improvement of low solubility, and a method for producing the same are provided. This formulation permits stable release of drug and stable and continuous expression of drug action and increases drug dosing compliance. CONSTITUTION: The film coating agent contains 0.01 to 20% by weight of a dihydropyridine derivative selected from felodipine and nifedipine as an effective component and comprises a sustained release matrix containing an effective component and a film coating layer, wherein the sustained release matrix comprises 0.5 to 40% by weight of hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, 0.5 to 40% by weight of Compritol 888 ATO(glyceryl behenate), 0.1 to 10% by weight of polyvinyl pyrrolidone and 0.5 to 10% by weight of a disintegrating agent, and the film coating agent comprises hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, polyethylene glycol 6000, titanium oxide, pigments and lubricators.
