Secondary curing agents for polyepoxides are adducts of polyepoxides and an excess of a polyamino-amide and/or a polyamino-imidazoline. Monoepoxides, acetic acid phenols, alkanolamines, solvents and/or butylated ureaformaldehyde resins may be present during the adduct formation. The adducts may be used in conjunction with butylated urea resins, solvents, and/or diluents both inert and reactive, as curing agents for epoxy resins in the form of solvent free or solvent containing lacquers and aqueous or pulverulent coating compositions. Many reactants are specified.ALSO:Pulverulent coating compositions comprising a polyepoxide and an adduct of a polyepoxide and a polyamino-amide and/or polyaminoimidazoline (see Division C3) may be applied by means of a fluidized bed coating process, powder spraying, electrostatic powder spraying or flame spraying. An example describes the coating of a heated iron rod using a fluidized bed technique, the coating being hardened at 130 DEG C.
