<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inspection method of a lead storage battery in which un-connecting and connection failure of inter-cell connection part can be inspected simultaneously in addition to the inspection of a short circuit-failure of a measuring cell without increasing inspection man-hour. <P>SOLUTION: The resistance value is measured by applying a voltage between a positive electrode strap 5b or a negative electrode strap 5a of electrode plate groups 4 in a certain cell chamber 3, and a positive electrode strap 5b or a negative electrode strap 5a of electrode plate groups 4 in the adjacent cell chamber 3 connected to the positive electrode strap 5b or the negative electrode strap 5a on the opposite side to these electrode plate groups 4 by a connecting part 6 between cells. When the measured resistance value is a value within a prescribed range, this is judged as an excellent article, when it is less than the value within the prescribed range, this is judged as a short circuit-failure, and when it is more than the value within the prescribed range, it is judged as inter-cell connection failure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
