<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a control feeling when fitting a check ball in a recess, and to prevent the generation of noise due to the quick opening/closing of a door when the check ball passes through the recess in a door checker for an automobile. <P>SOLUTION: In the checker for an automobile formed with an intermediate recess 13a, which is formed deeper than a ball guide groove 12 and wherein the check ball 23 is fitted by the energizing force of a check spring 24 to generate resistance against control at least at one intermediate opening position of a door D, at the side of a check lever 6, the intermediate recess 13a is formed so that a second opening width W<SB>2</SB>formed along a direction crossing the center line Y of the ball guide groove 12 is larger than a first opening width W<SB>1</SB>formed along the center line Y. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
