<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the filtering of CT images in a computerized tomographic scanning device from the diagnostically optimum aspect in adjusting its clearness and noise. <P>SOLUTION: For the window-controlled filtering of the CT images, the CT scanning device is provided with (a) a step for obtaining CT raw data by means of the CT device or a C arm apparatus, (b) a step for reorganizing the primary data set from the CT raw data, for example, from a sharp folding nuclear and, for example, from a narrow slice sensitivity profile, (c) a step for preparing a transfer function as a functional relation between the window width and the image clearness, and (d) a step, based on the transfer function in the image processing process, for automatically calculating the image clearness of the computed tomographic image chosen out of the primary data set depending on the window width selected for the chosen tomogram. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
