The invention concerns a chlorinator (10) which comprises a chlorinator cell (24) for supplying an amount of chlorine to a body of water, a sensor (26) for measuring ambient temperature, and a control unit (28) for controlling the supply of chlorine to the body of water in response to ambient temperature measurements taken by the sensor. The invention extends to an ionizing system (31) for automatically supplying silver ions to the body of water in response to ambient temperature measurements taken by the sensor. The invention further extends to a method of controlling chlorine supply as well as silver ion supply to a body of water. |
