PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone conversation system which enables a user to utilize a known telephone terminal to have telephone conversation with a voice by Internet telephone conversation functions. SOLUTION: A compound machine functioning as a telephone terminal is capable of switching an output destination/input source of a voice signal inputted/outputted from a handset or the like to a voice I/F. Since a voice based on a voice signal inputted/outputted from the outside through the voice I/F is inputted/outputted from the handset or the like in a state of switching to the voice I/F, the user is enabled to have telephone conversation with a voice indirectly through the handset or the like by Internet telephone conversation functions by connecting a PC having Internet telephone conversation functions via an audio cable so as to be able to input and output the voice signal to the PC. Since reception of an incoming call is reported (s330) when the incoming call is received from a telephone network in the state of switching to the voice I/F (YES in s320), the user can confirm the reception of the incoming call from the telephone network during telephone conversation with a voice by Internet telephone conversation functions.
