PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamping/centering mechanism capable of executing stable clamping, and centering, an information reproducing mechanism, and an information recording mechanism. SOLUTION: The clamping/centering mechanism 30 is provided with a turntable 12 rotated by a rotary-driving means 32 on which a recording medium 8 is mounted, a holding means 36 for holding the recording medium 8 mounted on the turntable 12, a centering means 37 for the recording medium 8 mounted on the turntable 12, and a driving means 34 or the like for driving the holding means 36 and the centering means 37. When it drives the holding means 36 in a direction for releasing holding of the recording medium 8, the driving means 34 or the like drives the centering means 37 in a direction for releasing the centering of the recording medium 8.
