A method for operating a memory zone of a memory module which is associated with a control-device computer, such as a microprocessor, and in which the computer has its own memory zone provided with a first address space, and in which the memory of the memory module has a second address space. At least the overlap zone of the second address space is assigned expanded addresses which lie outside the physically existing second address space. Independent claims are included for (A) A control device with computer, such as microprocessor and (B) A vehicle with control device for controlling vehicle functions.
