Disclosed is an apparatus for preventing a reverse flow of sewage including : a connection pipe for allowing the sewage to be introduced into the apparatus therethrough; an upper cover including a through hole connected to the connection pipe; a main body, formed in a cylindrical shape, located under the upper cover, and provided with an outlet formed through a lower area of a side surface of the main body, and one pentahedral structure and two hexahedral structures, which protrude from an inner circumference of the cylindrical main body and are sequentially arranged; and a reverse flow prevention sphere, located in the cylindrical main body, serving to open and close the through hole of the upper cover. The apparatus of the present invention, which is installable at a drain pipe, a water-purifier tank, a floodgate of a river, etc., prevents the sewage from flowing backward and allows the sewage containing large-sized foreign substances to be discharged without clogging sewerage. |
