<p>PURPOSE:To use housing rack units drastically in common by making the individual housing rack units capable of consolidation of plural kinds of cassettes in size together under the same recording format. CONSTITUTION:Loading and changing work of plural cassettes 10L, 10M and 10S and also 11L and 11S into plural housing racks 3 and 5 is carried out by an operator's manual operation of opening and closing doors. Consolidation housing positions of large, medium and small cassettes 10L, 10M and 10S... 11S in plural housing racks 3 and 5 are previously retrieved and stored in this cassette auto-changer. Then, by combination of a carrier operation of a carrier 16 by a carrier moving device 17 and a moving operation of a hand 15 based on a cassette changing command, a specified cassette is selectively pinched out of the large, medium and small cassettes 10L, 10M... 11S from the housing racks 3 or 5 specified by the hand 15, and is automatically drawn out, and is then recorded and reproduced by a specified VTR 12 or 13.</p> |
