摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly certify security for running by appropriating an inspection cycle and an inspection content in correspondence with an mechanical element of each of devices of a new type rolling stock introducing new technology. SOLUTION: An estimated lifetime traveling distance which corresponds to overhauling/exchange timing of a wheel 1 needing a work of a large scale periodical inspection is about 1,200,000 km, and the respective periodical inspections are carried out at 600,000km, its integral number of times 1,200,000km and 2,400,000km by setting 60,000km that is a half of the estimated lifetime traveling distance as a standard cycle in inspecting a rolling stock. Additionally, as the estimated lifetime running distance is 600,000km for a refrigeration system 7, etc., devices of those groups are inspected in the lump. The wheel 1, an axle bearing 2, etc., are inspected in their group in the lump as their estimated lifetime running distance is 1,200,000km. Furthermore, a VVVF control device 4, a car body roof 6, etc., are inspected in their group in the lump as their estimated lifetime running distance is 2,400,000km.
