A coating film which itself has a high strength, has high oxygen-barrier properties even in a high-humidity atmosphere, and is insoluble in water. It is highly safe from the standpoint of food hygiene. It has such selective carbon dioxide permeability that the ratio of carbon dioxide permeability to oxygen permeability is high. It is made of a composition comprising an aminated polysaccharide, a polyhydric alcohol, and an inorganic lamellar compound.
