A pin type terminal 20 for a printed circuit board has a tubular portion 3 made of a conductive material, a spring 4 stored in the tubular portion 3, a contact pin 5 supported slidably and in a conductive state in the tubular portion 3 and urged by the spring 4 to have a tip end protruded from one end of the tubular portion 3, and a connection portion 22 electrically connecting the tubular portion 3 to a contact terminal on a printed circuit board. The connection portion 22 includes a plurality of connection protrusions 23a, 23b arranged in the lengthwise direction of the tubular portion 3, and the end on the protruding side of the connection protrusion 23a, 23b forms a connection plane 24 for parallel positioning that can be connected to the contact terminal, of the printed circuit board, through solder. The pin type terminal may alternatively be mounted on the printed circuit board by the rear surface 25 so that the pin type terminal 20 can be positioned upright with respect to the printed circuit board. A connector housing may further be used to house one or more pin type terminal 20.
