PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a string and a hook easily and securely without forming a knot in the string. SOLUTION: The hook comprises a body 1 with a hooked part 10 and a string holding body 2 fitted into the body 1 from one end of a cylindrical part 11 of the body 1 for connecting the string W to the body 1 while holding the other end of the string W. The string holding body 2 comprises a cylindrical base part 20 both ends of which are open, a pair of holding leg parts 21 and 21 projecting from the end of the cylindrical base part 20 which is the head side for insertion into the body 1, and a string winding part 22 for winding the string W for connecting the pair of holding leg parts 21 and 21 to each other between the head and base of the holding leg parts 21. Each holding leg part 21 has a string clasping edge 21a for making the space S between the pair of leg parts 21 narrower than the thickness of the end of the string W held between the holding leg parts ahead of the position where the string winding part 22 is formed.
