<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a magnetic particle, which has magnetic hardness, capable of being effectively manufactured without raising the temperature of an annealing treatment, and the magnetic particle manufactured by the method, and also to provide a magnetic recording medium containing the magnetic particle in a magnetic layer and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a magnetic particle, a layer containing alloy particle capable of forming CuAu-type or Cu<SB>3</SB>Au-type hard magnetic ordered alloy phase is formed on a support, an oxidation treatment is performed, and an annealing treatment is performed under non-oxidizing atmosphere. In another method for manufacturing the magnetic particle, the alloy particle capable of manufacturing hard magnetic ordered alloy phase is manufactured, the oxidation treatment is performed to the alloy particle, and the annealing treatment is performed under the non-oxidizing atmosphere. The magnetic particle is manufactured by the method. A magnetic recording medium contains the magnetic particle in a magnetic layer. In a method for manufacturing the magnetic recording medium, the layer containing alloy capable of forming the hard magnetic ordered alloy phase is formed, the annealing treatment is performed under the non-oxidizing atmosphere after performing the oxidation treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
