<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closure which is installed at a point for connecting a branch cable to a trunk cable, facilitates switching connection of coated fibers, and facilitates fault finding on the occurrence of trouble. <P>SOLUTION: A first tray 38A, a second ray 38B, and an adapter support 40 for supporting adapters 42 for coupling connectors are installed into a waterproof case 14. Optical cords 44 with connectors are connected to a coated optical fiber 20 of the trunk cable 10 and a connecting part 46 thereof is housed into the first tray 38A. Another optical cords 50 with connectors are connected to a coated optical fiber 28 of the branch cable 12 and a connecting part 52 thereof is housed into the second tray 38B. The connectors 48A of the optical cords 44 with the connector on the trunk cable side is fitted to one side of the adapters 42 and the connectors 48B of the optical cords 50 with the connectors on the branch cable side is fitted to the other side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
