OPEN TYPE WIRE ROD EXTRACTOR

PURPOSE: An open type wire rod extractor is provided to absorb cooling load generated on billet when the wire rod passes through rolling mills as wire rod is being rapidly cooled by controlled rolling in a wire rod production line as well as coiling load generated on the billet as the wire rod is passing through the rolling mills in long distance straight line and curved line shapes. CONSTITUTION: The open type wire rod extractor comprises an upper extracting roll(23) on the surface part of which various types of grooves are formed, and an inner part of which is formed of layers; an upper rotation shaft(42a) positioned inside the upper extracting roll(23) and connected to a power transmission shaft(45); an upper housing(36a) connected to the upper extracting roll(23) and one side of the upper rotation shaft(42a); an upper holder(21) connected to the upper housing(36a) so that the upper holder(21) is fixed to a main body(29) by pin; a pneumatic cylinder connected to one side of the upper holder(21) so that the pneumatic cylinder ascends or descends the upper holder(21); a lower extracting roll(26) installed at a lower part of the upper extracting roll(23), a lower housing(36) connected to one side of the lower extracting roll(26); a lower holder connected to the lower housing(36) so that the lower holder is fixed to a lower part of the main body(29) by pin; a wedge liner(37) moved side to side by adjusting bolt with being closely adhered to a lower side of the lower holder; a table(31) positioned at a lower side of the wedge liner(37) to support the main body(29); a handle(25) positioned at the center of one side of the table(31); and speed reducers(38,38a) connected to the handle(25) to adjust a gap between the rolls.
