PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer for a bearing capable of reducing friction torque and maintaining high rotational accuracy and high cleanliness and excellent in lubricity, and a rolling bearing using the same. SOLUTION: The rolling bearing 81 is composed of an inner ring 20, an outer ring 22, a plurality of rolling elements 24 incorporated between the inner and the outer rings 20, 22, a snap cage 2 including a plurality of pockets 4 capable of rotatably retaining a plurality of the rolling elements 24, and a sealing plate 26 provided in such a manner that the same does not come into contact with the inner ring 20 (or the outer ring 22). A lubricant retaining part S capable of retaining designated lubricant is provided on each pocket 4. Each lubricant retaining part is formed in a range straddling over contact points P1, P2 of the rolling elements and the inner and the outer rings 20, 22, and a line segment L connecting the contact points P1, P2.
