Fluid mass flowmeter has a spiral or helical measurement flow channel (2) with at least an inlet (3) and an outlet (4) and an ultrasonic transducer (5) for transmission and or receiving of an ultrasound signal. The ultrasound signal follows a path around the outer wall (7) of the measurement channel by use of sound guidance elements or reflectors (8).
