摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translucent/reflective electrooptical device in which display light quantity in both of a reflection mode and a transmission mode is incresed, and an electronic appliance provided with it. <P>SOLUTION: On the TFT array substrate 10 of a reflective electrooptical device 100, a recess and projection forming film 13a, a pixel electrode 9a, an upper layer insulation film 7a and a light reflection film 8a are formed in the order. The rear surface of the light reflection film 8a is provided with a light transmitting reflection surface 8f facing the light reflection film 8a with a light transmission window 8d therebetween and for reflecting light made incident from the back surface side of a light transmissive substrate 10' and guiding it to the front surface of the light reflection film 8a. Since the upper layer insulation film 7a in a region surrounded by a frame-like projection 13b is removed, the wide reflection surface 8f is secured. Also, since the the upper layer insulation film 7a at a part adjacent to the outer side to the frame-like projection 13b is removed and a groove 16 is formed, the light transmitting reflection surface 8e is wide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
