MAGNETO-RESISTIVE DEVICE USING DELAYED ELECTRICAL PULSE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a maximum switching magnetic field (external magnetic field) applied to a magneto-resistive device without increasing the current applied to the bit lines and word lines. SOLUTION: A device (10) has a magneto-resistive element (14), a first conductor (8) proximate to the magneto-resistive element, and a second conductor (9) proximate to the magneto-resistive element. The magneto-resistive element (14) is exposed to a magnetic field generated by a first electrical pulse (801) carried by the first conductor (8). The magneto-resistive element (14) is also exposed to a magnetic field generated by a second electrical pulse (802) carried by the second conductor (9).
