PURPOSE: To provide a reel body of a spinning reel easily keeping high strength of the rod-attaching leg by using an inexpensive structure. CONSTITUTION: The rod-attaching leg 36 of the spinning reel is a solid thick-walled member and its tip is extended in front and rear sides to form the attaching part 36a. The rod-attaching leg 36 has a holding space 36a opened in front and rear directions and a reinforcing member 37 is put into the holding space 36b. The reinforcing member 37 is made of a metal and attached in a manner to protrude a part of the member on the outer circumference. A through-hole 37a is opened at the lower part of the reinforcing member, a screw 38 is inserted together with a lid 2b into the through-hole 37a and the leg is fixed to the case 2a with the screw.
