PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine for setting an expansion stroke to be longer in stroke than a stroke to truly compress a fuel-air mixture or air when using a piston valve and a rotary valve for a four-cycle engine and a six-cycle engine. SOLUTION: A valve and an air port which are opened at a bottom dead center and closed slightly before a top dead center in a compression stroke both in a gasoline engine and a diesel engine are formed. In the case of the diesel engine, an exhaust valve and an exhaust port are opened at the bottom dead center and closed slightly before the top dead center in a compression stroke.
