PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate manufacture of a cavity unit in which the number of nozzles (pressure chambers) is increased/decreased by simply stacking a smallest unit of a plate provided with a nozzle, a pressure chamber and a common ink chamber as common elements. SOLUTION: An arbitrary number of first plates 40 each provided with a nozzle 43, a pressure chamber 44, a common ink chamber 42, and ink supply channels 45 and 46 as common elements are stacked along the arranging direction of the pressure chambers 44 and bonded. A piezoelectric actuator 2 is applied to cover a part of the pressure chambers 44 opening to one end face of the first plate 40 and bonded in place. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
