<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium to be recorded, which is excellent in glossiness of an image and ink absorption of an ink receiving layer, and suppresses migration of a dye after printing and an irritating odor (or an unpleasant odor) caused by a low fatty acid produced from the ink receiving layer or the ink receiving layer immediately after the printing. <P>SOLUTION: In this medium to be recorded, the ink receiving layer, which is composed of hydrated alumina, is provided at least on one side of a substrate. The concentration of the low fatty acid, which is produced when the medium to be recorded is heated at 60°C for an hour, is set to be in the range of 0.1-1.0 ppm/m<SP>2</SP>L. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
