PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent wireless communication system wherein a network is built up under the management of a prescribed control station, and to provide a wireless communication apparatus and a wireless communication method, and a computer program. SOLUTION: In a wireless personal area network in compliance with the IEEE 8021.5.3, individually designated communication segments are configured with a group of management time slots (MTS) for permitting optional wireless communication apparatuses to exchange command information thereby allowing the efficient use of wireless transmission traffic. Further, utilizing the management time slot for the transmission of ACK information after the reception of data from an optional wireless communication apparatus can ensure the return of the ACK information wherein reliability is required.
