PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method of shape modeling for easily arranging components or easily designing the shapes of the components. SOLUTION: The shape modeling device having a control means for performing display control of a plane including an instructed display surface as a sketch surface for drawing a picture according to an instruction to either of the display surfaces among the surfaces of the components displayed in the three-dimensional shapes is provided.
