It is intended to disclose a transdermal absorption promoting composition characterized by containing the following components (a), (b) and (c) and a transdermal absorption preparation containing the following components (a), (b), (c) and (d): (a) propylene glycol (b) a polyol fatty acid ester (c) lauromacrogol (d) drug. Thus, it is possible to provide a safe and stable transdermal absorption promoting composition not only exhibiting an effect of promoting transdermal absorption but also making even a drug, which has a relatively high lipophilic nature and poor transdermal absorbability, highly skin-permeable and showing a favorable texture in using; and a transdermal absorption preparation containing the same together with a drug.
