PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guiding apparatus for vehicles that predicts the degree of congestion in all routes included within a region specified by a driver. SOLUTION: The driver inputs a degree-of-congestion prediction region. An ECU 6 extracts the paths included in the degree-of-congestion prediction region to create a prediction path list. When a destination is set, a route involved in arrival at a destination is extracted. The ECU 6 predicts the degree of congestion in the route mentioned in the created predication route list based on stored past road traffic information. The predicted result is displayed on a display 4, thus enabling the driver to know the degree of congestion in the route in the degree-of-congestion prediction region. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
