PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing a timber which can work the timber together with a core material. SOLUTION: The method for processing the timber comprises the steps of selecting a material of the timber, pressurizing the material, heating the material and cutting the material. In this method, the step of selecting the material of the timber includes the steps of cutting a tree, then first removing twigs and bark, and cutting the material in a predetermined shape. The step of pressurizing the material includes the steps of pressurizing the timber, flushing a moisture contained in the core material, and lowering an entire water content of the timber to a predetermined value. The step of heating includes the steps of heating the timber, and setting the entire water content of the timber to a uniform state of 6 to 8%.
