FIELD: electrical engineering; power supplies for compact portable or battery-powered ionizing radiation meters and other devices. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed voltage converter has single-stroke blocking oscillator built around bipolar transistor whose collector is connected to transformer winding and emitter, to common lead; rectifier whose input is connected to blocking-oscillator output and output, to error amplifier input; control transistor whose base is connected to error amplifier output, collector, to bipolar transistor base, and emitter, to common lead; and series RC circuit connected on one end to control transistor base and on other end, to blocking-oscillator transistor collector. ^ EFFECT: reduced transient loss, enhanced efficiency, and reduced mass and size of blocking-oscillator. ^ 1 cl, 3 dwg |
