摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material that is superior, in particular, in load characteristics and cycle charge and discharge characteristics, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The positive electrode active material for a lithium-ion secondary battery is constructed of the general formula Li<SB>y</SB>M<SP>1</SP><SB>(1-x)</SB>M<SP>2</SP><SB>x</SB>O<SB>z</SB>(in the formula, M<SP>1</SP>expresses Co and/or Ni, M<SP>2</SP>expresses one kind selected from Mn, Zr, Hf, Ce, and Pr, and x is 0 < x &le; 0.02, y is 0.95 &le; y&le; 1.10, z is 1.8 < z < 2.2). Furthermore, the positive electrode active material for the lithium-ion secondary battery can be manufactured by mixing one or two or more kinds of the compounds containing at least one kind of metal element out of Co, Ni, Mn, Ti, Zr, Hf, Ce, and Pr with a lithium compound and calcinating it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
