<p>The medical apparatus has a device (11) for detecting the position of at least one object in an area. The device has a light transmitter (12) for transmitting a fan of light (15). It also has a camera (13) for detecting the at least one object (1-3,6-10). The signals from the camera are delivered to an analysis device (14). The analyser generates, on the basis of these signals, three-dimensional data corresponding to the object is used to reduce collisions of the object. The analyser may analyses the camera signals with respect to the active or passive triangular three-dimensional techniques. The light transmitter (12,18) may generate a two-dimensional light fan. The light transmitter may transmit a light beam, which is deflected from a first mirror in a first plane and from a second mirror in a second, perpendicular plane.</p> |
