<p>The method of continually monitoring components of a vehicle liable to wear involves determining a state parameter which represents the state of the component and which varies over time, as well as an operating parameter representing operation of the brake system. During braking, the change over time of the state parameter is compared with the brake parameter. The operating state of the component is determined based on the results of the comparison. Independent claims also cover apparatus for carrying out the method.</p> |
