CAUDAL PROTEIN RECOGNIZING E2F PROMOTER, TRANSFORMANTS FOR OVEREXPRESSING CAUDAL, AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE: Provided is a transformant overexpressing Caudal protein which shows abnormal cell multiplication or differentiation, making it possible to screen the drugs which react during these process. CONSTITUTION: The Caudal protein comprises vinegar fly Caudal protein which combines with E2F promoter and activates the activity of E2F promoter. Activation control method of E2F promoter includes transferring the expression vector in which gene is placed, under the control of E2F promoter containing recognition sequence of Caudal protein; and inducing gene expression by transducting Caudal protein expressing vector to the transformed cell, the cell being eucaryocyte or animal cell and the transformant being overexpressed, showing abnormal expression type. The screening method of drugs comprises (a) the egg of transformant showing abnormal expression type is placed in the medium containing a candidate compound; (b) confirming the type of obtained transformant; and when the type of transformant is similar to wild type, the candidate compound is judged as an inhibitor of signal mechanism induced by Caudal protein, the candidate compounds being anti-cancer or anti-inflammatory agent.
