<p>A removable insert (10) adapted for use with a spiral or other ring-type binder includes a thin body member (12), a hooking element (22) connected to, or integral with, the body member (12) which defines a longitudinally extending recess (30) configured to receive at least a first page retaining member (62), and a fastener (24) connected to, or integral with, the body member (12) configured to detachably secure the body member (12) to a second page retaining member (64). The hooking element (22) includes a journal bearing (34) about which the first page retaining member (62) may be rotated. The fastener (24) includes a constricted channel (40) adjacent to the edge (38) of the insert (10) and an enlarged portion (42) disposed inwardly from the edge (38).</p> |
