PURPOSE: A digital motion-picture controller through a network is provided to receive MPEG-2 motion-pictures with high picture quality on a network without using a tuner. CONSTITUTION: A digital motion-picture controller through a network includes an Ethernet interface(60) connected to the network, a medium access controller(50) for carrying out TCP/IP protocol, a packet filter controller(40), and a channel interface(30). The packet filter controller recognizes UDP packet data on a capsule data transmitted from the medium access controller to extract an MPEG-2 transport stream packet. The channel interface demodulates the MPEG-2 transport stream extracted by the packet filter controller through quadrature phase shift keying, quadrature amplitude modulation or coded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing. The channel interface has a frequency counter(32) for counting input frequency, a frame controller(34) having a FIFO memory, a data memory(38) for temporarily storing data generated from the packet filter controller, and a direct access memory controller(36) for controlling data flow to generate the MPEG-2 transport stream. |
