<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an error rate characteristic by performing AGC control depending on a channel. <P>SOLUTION: An amplitude check section 412 checks a maximum amplitude of a multiple waveform of an orthogonal code such as a Walsh code for AGC control and performs the AGC control so as to converge in the maximum amplitude within a bit width after analog/digital conversion.
