PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the overall size and the cost of a sensor while simplifying the circuitry by making it possible to detect the azimuth with sufficient accuracy although the output accuracy of a second sensor is lowered when geomagnetic azimuth is detected based on the outputs from first and second magnetic sensors secured while being spaced apart by a specified angle in their fixed directions. SOLUTION: With regard to geomagnetism He making an angleθor (180°-θ) with the plus direction of X-axis, the first magnetic sensor S1 generating an output proportional to sinθis secured to direct the Y-axis direction, and the second magnetic sensor S2 for judging to which range of (-90°to 90°) or (90°to 270°) theθbelongs is secured to direct a direction separated by a specified angleα(α≠180°) from the direction of the first magnetic sensor S1.
