PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit downsizing of a coil fastening section of a carriage which is a component of an actuator of a hard disk drive and to permit easy positioning of a moving coil of a voice coil motor with high accuracy even if costly tools are not used in attaching the moving coil to the coil fastening section. SOLUTION: The carriage 21 is provided with a coil fastening body section 29 and the outer side of the body section 29 is mounted with the moving coil 6 of the voice coil motor. The positioning of the moving coil 6 can be more easily performed with the high accuracy by exactly forming the size, shape, position, etc., of the body section 29 as the carriage 21, Also, higher rigidity and lighter weight can be attained by using the carriage fabricated by pressing.
