PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience in equipment registration and equipment authentication operations by eliminating necessity to input equipment authentication information of a user for the equipment registration and the equipment authentication, and to improve reliability in the equipment registration and equipment authentication operations by making the equipment registration possible only for an equipment to be connected to a network. SOLUTION: The equipment is provided with: an equipment registration means for registering and updating the equipment authentication information based upon address information of the equipment which can be acquired from a communication means; and an equipment authentication means for authenticating the equipment in accordance with the equipment authentication information stored in the equipment registration means.
