The heat collector (10) for the heating of a liquid heat transfer medium has a flat container (11) through which the liquid is guided. The container has a latent heat accumulator and is filled at least partially with a heat storage medium (28) of high heat capacity which ideally is paraffin. The heat storage medium has a fusion temperature which lies approximately in the region of a target temperature for the heat transfer medium to be heated, and this temperature is approximately 60 deg C.
