REFINEMENT METHOD OF METHANOL AND O-XYLENE

PURPOSE: A method for refining methanol and o-xylene from the waste solvent generated from the production process of a UV stabilizer is provided, to prevent the clogging at a heat exchanger and a pipe line. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of removing a low boiling point material, an azeotropic material and a decomposition product from the waste solvent generated from the production process of a UV stabilizer at a distillation tower 1(10); producing a refined methanol at a distillation tower 2(11); removing water and intermediate materials at a distillation tower 3(12); and removing a high boiling point material to produce o-xylene at a distillation tower 4(13).
