OPTICAL WAVEGUIDE TYPE WAVELENGTH CONVERTING DEVICE MODULE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical waveguide type wavelength converting device module which positions and fixes an optical waveguide type wavelength converting device where a higher harmonic output becomes maximum and can stably obtain high-efficient optical coupling.

SOLUTION: Disclosed is the method for manufacturing the optical waveguide type wavelength converting device module which has at least the optical waveguide type wavelength converting device 2 and a semiconductor laser 1 fixed to a submount 5. When the optical waveguide type wavelength converting device is disposed about the semiconductor laser installed on the submount, the semiconductor laser is driven and the position of the optical waveguide type wavelength converting device is adjusted while the output of a higher harmonic generated by the optical waveguide type wavelength converting device as its output light is incident is monitored.
