PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of flash in manufacturing an extruded article having a variable cross-section, to mitigate accuracy in shape required for a die, and to improve durability of the die. SOLUTION: Along an extruding direction, there are arranged a first die 20 and a second die 30, with both dies made movable relatively in a direction crossing the extruding direction. The first die 20 has a die hole 21, while the second die 30 has a shut-off part 31 capable of shutting off a part of the die hole 21. In the die hole 21, a first core part 13 is disposed through a gap between the core part and the edge wall of the die hole. In the second die 30, a second core part 36 that moves with the shut-off part 31 is disposed through a gap between the core part and the edge wall of the shut-off part. The first and second core parts can be superposed in the extruding direction, with the superposed area varying in accordance with the relative movement between the first and second dies.
