OPTICAL TRANSMISSION MODULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission module using a light transmissive medium which has excellent transmission efficiency and uniformity of a light signal. SOLUTION: This optical transmission module has a plane back-plane unit 20 where circuit boards 11 to 18 having light reception parts 11a to 17a and a light emission part 18a are arranged side by side and the light transmissive medium 21. The light transmissive medium 21 has a plurality of step parts 27 on one side and incidence/emission parts 23 for receiving and/or emitting light signals are formed on surfaces of the respective step parts which form steps with one another. The other side of the light transmissive medium 21 is a mixer part 28 and has a diffuse reflecting film 24 which diffuses and reflects light signals. The plurality of step parts 27 of the light transmissive medium 21 are arranged nearby the circuit boards 11 to 18. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
